Grenada, located southerly in the Caribbean, is the Spice Island. Cinnamon, pimento, cloves, bay leaves, turmeric, ginger and mace – Grenada grows them all. As a Seattle and Portland Travel Agent, people always ask me which Sandals All-Inclusive Resort is my favorite, and I reply that I can’t really say because every resort offers a unique experience which I believe is the magic of Sandals. However, Sandals La Source Grenadascores high marks with me. The rooms are luxurious and innovative, the restaurants offer distinctive themes, the overall atmosphere is charming and the staff are extremely friendly and willing to make each guests’ vacation the best ever! A real plus – Sandals La Source Grenada is located quite close the airport for an easy transfer with very little accompanying airport noise. Because I market and sell many Destination Weddings each year at Sandals & Beaches Resorts, I attend Destination Wedding Workshop and Certification. The gardens are beautiful, providing the perfect setting for a wedding. Overall a lovely resort but I found it to be windy on the beach in May, often with yellow and red flags on display. The front pool is quiet and relaxing, the back pool active and noisy.
The air schedule from the Pacific Northwest is currently a challenge. I had an eight hour layover in Miami outbound and a similar layover on the return. I took a night flight from Seattle arriving in the early morning (6am) in Miami then took a hotel room for the day so I could nap and shower in time for my late afternoon flight to Grenada (4pm).
